What becomes possible when you change the lens through which you see yourself

“We don’t see things as they are; we see them as we are.” ~ Anaïs Nin

I came across this quote during my meditation recently, and it stayed with me.

Perhaps it will stay with you too.

You experience your world through filters.

Your beliefs, memories, values, identity, expectations, emotional state and previous experiences all influence what you notice, the meaning you give it and what feels possible to you.

Two people can experience virtually the same situation and walk away with completely different interpretations.

The circumstances may be the same.

The lens is different.

You respond to your experience of reality through the meaning your mind has created around it.

That internal map influences what catches your attention, what feels significant, which possibilities you recognize, and which choices feel available to you.

This is where things become fascinating.

Your internal map shapes what you can see

You may already be incredibly successful.

You may have built a thriving business, led a team, created an impressive career or achieved things an earlier version of you once dreamed about.

You have experience.

You have knowledge.

You have capability.

You may even know exactly what your next move could be.

Yet the internal map that helped you create what you have today can still influence what you believe is available at your next level.

You may be looking directly at an opportunity and experience it completely differently from the woman standing beside you.

You may see risk where she sees possibility.

You may see complexity where she sees an invitation.

You may find yourself carefully considering something she feels ready to step into.

Your capability is already there.

The interesting question becomes:

What is influencing the way you see what is possible for you right now?

This is where Invisible Resistance shows up

I call these deeper patterns Invisible Resistance.

Invisible Resistance lives beneath the surface in the beliefs, meanings, emotional associations and identity patterns that quietly influence the way you see yourself and your world.

You can consciously know you are ready for greater visibility while another part of you continues choosing familiar ways of being seen.

You can know you are ready to lead at a different level while continuing to carry responsibilities you have long since outgrown.

You can see the next opportunity in your business and still find yourself circling the decision.

You can have all the evidence of your own capability and still experience a pause when it is time to claim something bigger.

That pause contains information.

It gives you an opportunity to become curious about the lens through which you are seeing yourself.

Once that lens begins to shift, something powerful happens.

You begin to see differently.

When your perception changes, your choices can change

Your external world may look familiar at first.

You are the one who has changed.

An opportunity you previously overlooked suddenly gets your attention.

A conversation you once rehearsed repeatedly feels easier.

A decision becomes clear.

Greater visibility begins to feel natural.

You recognize that you are ready to ask for more, receive more, lead more boldly or make a move you have been considering for months.

You begin trusting your own judgement at a deeper level.

Your behaviour starts to reflect that shift.

Your results can begin reflecting it too.

This is why the transformation I see in my clients looks so different from woman to woman.

Your result will be uniquely yours

People sometimes ask me:

“What will happen if I work with you?”

There is no single external answer.

Your transformation belongs to you.

You may become completely clear on the direction you want to take your business.

You may discover that your relationships begin evolving as you become more fully yourself.

You may start making decisions more quickly and confidently.

You may become more visible.

You may change the way you lead.

You may create significant growth in your business.

You may discover a vision for your life that feels more aligned with the woman you are now.

The visible outcomes can be very different.

The deeper shift is remarkably consistent.

You begin operating from a different internal place.

You see yourself differently.

You see your options differently.

You respond differently.

You choose differently.

Your outer results begin to reflect those inner shifts.

This is identity-level transformation

This may be what I love most about Anaïs Nin’s words.

They speak to identity.

When your sense of who you are expands, your experience of the world can expand with it.

You begin accessing more of your resourcefulness.

Your voice becomes clearer.

Your intuition becomes easier to trust.

Your courage becomes more available.

Your ambition has more room to breathe.

You recognize possibilities that may have been around you for quite some time.

The opportunity may have been there all along.

You are simply seeing it through a different lens now.

This is why transformation can feel so surprising.

You may suddenly realize that something you once considered difficult now feels obvious.

A decision that once carried enormous weight can simply feel like your next step.

A level of success you once admired from a distance can begin to feel like something you are genuinely ready to inhabit.

The territory may look familiar.

Your map has changed.

What becomes possible when you change the lens?

Anaïs Nin’s quote invites you into a different kind of question.

You can certainly ask:

“What do I want to do next?”

You can also go deeper:

“Who am I being as I look at what is possible for me?”

“What am I ready to see differently?”

“What becomes available when I release the Invisible Resistance influencing the way I see myself?”

Those questions open the door to something bigger than another strategy.

They open the door to you.

To the version of you who sees more possibilities.

To the version of you who trusts herself.

To the version of you who makes decisions from where she is going rather than from where she has been.

To the version of you who is ready for what comes next.

Change the lens, and you change what becomes possible.

That is the work I love.

Helping you uncover the Invisible Resistance beneath the surface so you can see more of who you already are, recognize more of what is available to you, and create results that are uniquely yours.
